Why Vera exists

Complexity should not be the price of being in control of your company.

Most companies today face demands from customers, auditors and regulators that they can neither see through nor afford help with. Large companies can afford advice, but lack one place where the whole picture connects. Vera is the adviser few have had access to: one you can ask, one that interviews you about what it does not know, and one that writes it down so the company can show where it stands at any time. It takes minutes, not weeks.

Vera is not an old system with AI added on top. It is built for AI from day one: you talk to it, it asks the questions, writes the documents and keeps track of everything. That is why what used to take a consultancy and several weeks can be done by yourselves in minutes.

Your own AI adviser, from chaos to control.

Built by security experts

Vera is not built on top of a single standard. We have written our own controls, drawing on 18 years of security work at Denmark's largest providers, so they cover the entire security field in one language the company itself understands. Each control is linked to the frameworks the world measures you against: NIS2, DORA, GDPR, the EU AI Regulation, ISO 27001, CIS Controls and NIST. That is why you only have to answer once. Once you have described how you manage access to your systems, the answer counts in every rule set that makes the same demand, and you can always see the link.

What only Vera does

  1. /01

Answer once, and it counts everywhere.

Once you have answered the question about access management in your NIS2 review, the answer is already in place the day ISO 27001 or a customer makes the same demand. Vera only asks the questions that are new, and shows you how much of the next rule set you have already covered.

  2. /02

Policies that notice when the world changes.

In Vera, every sentence in a policy is connected to what it is about. Change your backup supplier, and precisely the sentence it concerns lights up, and Vera offers to correct it. Nobody has to read through 80 pages to find what no longer holds.

  3. /03

One question a day, to the person who actually knows.

Instead of asking someone to fill in a long form, Vera asks the one question most worth answering right now, to the person who is logged in. You can answer immediately, pass the question on to a colleague, or wait. The answer is saved where it was missing, with a name and a date.

  4. /04

"Don't know" is a valid answer. And disagreement is worth knowing.

If the IT manager answers that there is multi-factor on everything, while the operations manager answers that two systems are missing, Vera writes down the difference. That is exactly the observation a good consultant would note in the report. What nobody knows yet is marked as unclarified, not as a failure.

  5. /05

    The board report writes itself.

When the board asks where the company stands, the answer should not be built by hand. Vera writes the report in seconds and follows the form Danish board work uses: matter, occasion, recommendation, case description, economy and risk picture. Every number can be clicked back to its source, and no matter is sent before a person has written the recommendation.

  6. /06

    Every answer carries its source.

When Vera answers, it quotes the legal text verbatim, with article, edition and date, and keeps it visually separate from its own explanation. The day the auditor asks, there is never any doubt about what is law, what is your own policy, and what is Vera's assessment.

Everyone works in the same place

Security and compliance work is rarely one person's job. The IT manager knows one thing, the operations manager another, a consultant helps out, the auditor wants documentation, and suppliers have to answer questions. Today that happens in emails, spreadsheets and meetings, and nobody has the whole picture. In Vera it happens in one place.

One workspace, your own people and those from outside, each with their own access. Everything shared externally is recorded.

    Workspaces about anything

A workspace is a place where you gather everything about one task. It could be preparing for the audit, a new supplier that needs checking, or an idea about using AI in customer service. You choose who is in it. If you work alone, it is your own room, where you use Vera as an adviser in peace. If several of you work together, everyone sees the same thing, and Vera remembers what you concluded, who said what, and what is still missing.

  2. /02

All your documents, with editions under control

Policies, procedures, contracts and the documents you add yourselves live in one library. Every document has an owner, an approver, an edition number and a date for when it is due for review. So you can always answer who approved what, and when. And because Vera reads what the documents say, it can tell you when a document no longer matches reality.

  3. /03

Access to exactly what each person needs

You decide who can see and do what. An employee can have access to everything or only to their own area. A consultant who works with you regularly gets access as one of your own users, and you can remove it again without any of the work disappearing. The auditor gets their own access and sees only what you have chosen to share. A supplier or a colleague can answer a single question straight from an email without logging in to the whole system. And everything shared with anyone outside the company is recorded.

  4. /04

Suppliers, checked against what you buy

Several laws require you to show that your suppliers have security under control. Today you send a large spreadsheet by email and hope for an answer. In Vera you simply say what you buy from the supplier, for example that they host your web shop, and Vera finds the questions that fit that exact service, no more and no fewer. If it is a well-known supplier, Vera looks up their public security description instead of sending questions. And all suppliers and their contracts come together on one map, so you can see which of your most important functions rest on the same supplier.

For the whole company

Vera is not a tool for one law. It is built to carry everything a company must stay in control of, and new rule sets are added as data, not as a new product. We begin with NIS2, GDPR and the EU AI Regulation, then add DORA, CRA, ISO 27001 and the demands your customers make.

  • Overview

What matters right now, what needs action, and what has changed since last time.

  • Our company

Systems, suppliers, data, responsibilities, policies and controls. Everything Vera has registered about you, in one place.

  • Risks

One register that fills itself from reviews, suppliers and incidents. Management decides how much risk you are willing to accept, and Vera shows what lies above it.

  • Resilience

Who does what in the first hour. The plan lives on the phone, outside your own network, so it works when everything else is down.

  • AI

Vera helps you find out where AI can make a difference in your business, and keeps track of the AI you already use. And if AI does not make sense for you, Vera says that too.

  • Audit

The auditor's requests, your answers and your documentation, with full history. The auditor sees only what you have shared.

  • Reporting

Board, management and auditor each get their report from the same information. The report is locked on the date, so you can always see what you knew when you made the decision.

  • Connections

How systems, suppliers, controls and risks connect, and what affects what, before you change anything.

  • Ask Vera

Answers with sources, both on the law and on your own documents. And when something cannot be decided, Vera says so.

AI in the business

Everyone talks about AI, but few know where it actually creates value in their own business, and fewer still are in control of the AI they already use. Vera covers both, with the same data and the same rules as the rest of the company.

  1. /01

Find out where AI creates value

Vera starts in the business, not in the technology. What takes a long time, what is repeated, where do errors occur, and where do customers wait? From the answers, Vera helps you find the opportunities, judge whether they are feasible, build a business case and lay out a plan, including a pilot. And when the answer is that AI is not the solution, Vera says that too.

  2. /02

Get an overview of the AI you already use

Once AI is in operation, Vera keeps track of the whole landscape: models, agents, tools, installations, endpoints and versions, with responsibility, approvals and incidents attached to each part. Vera can be the company's only platform for AI governance, without you needing other systems first.

  3. /03

Connected to the platforms your AI runs on

Vera's direction is to fetch the information directly from the platforms companies use: first Microsoft with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI and Copilot, together with OpenAI, then AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex and Anthropic, and later Databricks and Snowflake. Vera reads what exists and makes suggestions. It never changes anything in your systems.

  4. /04

The EU AI Regulation, without a new questionnaire

The regulation requires you to know which role you have, how risky each use of AI is, and what you therefore have to do and document. Vera builds that from the information it already holds about your AI, so you do not have to start over with a questionnaire. Vera assesses provisionally and shows its source; you confirm. Vera never draws legal conclusions.

The large IT vendors build this kind of AI governance for corporations. Vera makes it available to every company, without you having to buy their platforms first.

AI suggests. You decide.

The principle is called "human in the loop": the AI does the groundwork and makes suggestions, but every decision that matters is made by a named person at your company. It is built into Vera from the ground up, not added as a setting.

  • Facts, suggestions and confirmations are kept apart

Vera always shows what is registered, what Vera itself suggests, and what a named person has confirmed. It never calls anything "compliant" and never gives a score, because a single number cannot describe where your company stands.

  • Sources on everything

Legal text, regulator guidance, standards and your own documents, always with edition and section. If Vera cannot find support for an answer, it says so instead of guessing.

  • Your content is not used to train Vera

And Vift's staff have no standing access to your data. Support access requires your approval and expires on its own.

  • Built in Denmark, for Europe

By people who have worked with security at Denmark's largest providers for 18 years and seen how the overview disappears when it depends on individuals and spreadsheets.

Vera with your own adviser

Vera is built so you can use it without a consultant at your side. But some want a person alongside, especially at the start or in the areas where it is hard to get going. Then the adviser from Vift works inside your Vera as one of your Powerusers, that is, a user with full rights. Everything the adviser does stays with you, and the day you can do it yourselves, you remove the access.

  • Get started

We set Vera up with you and show you how to carry on, until you can do it yourselves.

  • Work on an area

We take one area at a time with you, for example risks or resilience, at the pace you choose.

The adviser is based in Denmark and works under Danish and European law. We advise and double-check, but the responsibility stays with you.
